Time

"God's plans are not necessarily your plans.  God's timing is very seldom our timing.  He wants us to learn to wait, to be silent before Him, to trust Him for this day's needs of whatever sort."  ~  Elisabeth Elliot

My how time does pass quickly.  So much has happened since my last entry -- which was quite awhile ago.  I thought about updating but that is not why I came here.  So I will leave this entry with the above quote and to say that God is good all the time and He is forever faithful.

My son comes home soon.  College done and over for the year. God is so good!  He is forever faithful.

In teaching about the hymn "Trust and Obey" last Sunday, our pastor said "It may take time to get through this, but the Lord will sustain me through it."  How so very true.

Some of my favorite Hymns and Choruses:

Be Thou My Vision, Trust and Obey, Blessed Assurance, Great Is Thy Faithfulness, In Christ Alone, As A Deer, We Will Dance

Well, it is that time of year, when God's beautiful creation bursts forth in wonderful color and new life.  And, it also brings forth wind and rain -- which means it is baseball season again.  Guess I needed to say something about it.  Baseball has been such a big part of our lives, thanks to that aforementioned son.  My daughter too has had her place in it.  Now my other two sons are following their big brother's footsteps (not easy ones to fill, not just in baseball, they look up to him in many ways).  Long ago, knowing nothing of baseball, I decided to just pray and trust God for my son's coaches and teams.  It hasn't always been easy, but continue to trust I did.  I decided to continue that with the next two, again not easy (and now I know a little about the game).  However, I am thankful for the coaches that each of them have had and now had.  A will remember too what my oldest son said,  "I have learned something from all of my coaches."  God is good, He supplies all our needs.

God is good ~ all the time!

"And the Lord will guide you continually" Isaiah 58:11

"fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand." Isaiah 41;10

"The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.  He does not faint or grow weary, his understanding is unsearchable, He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength." Isaiah 40:28,29

"I love the Lord, because he has heard my voice and my supplications.  Because he inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call on Him as long as I live" Psalm 116:1,2

"The Lord bless you and keep you, The Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you, The Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace." Numbers 6:24-26

Congratulations to Brian and his team, Wilder Baseball, they came in second at the Regional Tournament in Calgary.  They played great baseball.  They only lost one game (the final one), they outscored all the other teams and had the same win/loss as the Calgary team that took first (whom they had won earlier in the tournament).

We had a good time in Calgary seeing the games, visiting places, seeing God's beautiful creation (throughout the trip).  We (the friend's I travelled with) stayed with some of their relatives and they were wonderful.  Great times ~ great baseball, great fellowship, wonderful memories,  and God's beautiful creation.

Thank you Lord for the many blessings.
